A graduate of the highly prestigious Victorian College of the Arts School of Film & Television, Philip Houghton has created various works in the medium of film, winning awards at film festivals for his efforts.

Queenslcliff Music Festival

Videoworks provides live performance video and outside broadcast for a variety of events, the most recent being the Queenscliff Music Festival (QMF). Phil was given the oppotunity to be on stage filming local and international acts such as Little Red, Mark Seymour, Ash Grunwald, Kate Miller-Heidke, The Vasco Era and Rockwiz Live Show.

On Set With "Big Mama's Boy"

Phil spent a few days helping out on set of the new film Big Mama's Boy, a comedy shot in Melbourne by Valarc Films starring Frank Lotito and Holly Valance. Currently in Post Production, BMB is set to be released in early 2011.

"Young Love" Screens at Sundance

Young Love, written and Directed by Ariel Kleiman has been given an honourable mention in the short film section at the Sundance film Festival. Shot on location in Pakenham, Victoria in late 2008, Philip Houghton worked as the location sound recordist. Click here to see more about the film.

Negatives in Hillside Film Festival

The short film, "Negatives" Directed by Philip Houghton has been selected as one of only eight short film to compete as part of the Hillside Film Festival in Mid February 2010. Apart from being in the running for Awards and Prizes, the film will also be shown on Foxtel as Part of Youth Week 2010!
